Resume

The importance of a good, concise resume that stands out cannot be overstated. In a fast-paced world where first impressions are made in what amounts to a fleeting moment, the first impression that is your resume can mean the difference between getting a call for an interview and having it thrown in the trash.

Re: tips to create resume

Hi reid,

Certain factors you have to keep in mind before submitting the resume to the company.Because resume show your attitude and curiosity towards work. Its really important for your career purpose also. First make a heading of resume in good way, like size of that will be 18 and it is in bold form to attract the MD or interviewer. Include all the skills, experience and achievement in attractive manner. Make 2-3 page of resume not more than that otherwise, it creates wrong impression against an interviewer.

Thanks

I suggest u to have a clear and specific employment objective, try and have a clear timeline of employment, enunciate your experience and u are relevant to the job you are applying for. And carefully note that give references only when asked. use spell checker!!!

Agreed, Good points regarding resume. This is basic document which attract the employer to sort out for interviews, so the specific information should be elaborated on resume.

There is no particular format or rule to write a resume. You can write resume as you wish but the information provided must be honest and "catchy". Usually employer may take less than minute to review the resume, so you present it clear and crisp about your achievements and other positives. Write resume according to the employer's requirement. Personally I recommend the website bestsampleresume(dot)com where you can find many resume samples. You can get many ideas for writing a effective resume.

The good news is that, with a little extra effort, you can create a resume that makes you stand out as a superior candidate for a job you are seeking. Not one resume in a hundred follows the principles that stir the interest of prospective employers. So, even if you face fierce competition, with a well written resume you should be invited to interview more often than many people more qualified than you.
